If you are an artist, your exhibitions have been affected by Covid and have mostly taken place virtually. We are fortunate that we can at least show and sell via the internet, but what are some of the pros and cons of this way of exhibiting.
As a starter, a pro is that our art pieces do not have to be framed which is an additional cost. We also do not need to drive to a specific location to deliver or pick up the pieces. We are able to enter exhibitions in other locations without having the cost of shipping the art piece until it sells. The art may be viewed by many more art lovers that may not have been able to attend an in person exhibit.
Some of the cons, is missing the human contact with fellow artists, art lovers and collectors. Being able to see people's reactions and comments regarding your art; a priceless part of creating. Not having an enjoyable night out with art, wine and friends.
