Our local watercolor society has 2, maybe 3, exhibitions a year. For that reason, I have decided to enter shows outside the area. I recently submitted my piece "Wild Thing" to the 46th National River Road Show in Louisiana.
I am proud to say that my piece was selected by the juror Diantha York-Ripley ~ Artist , to be one of 75 paintings accepted into the 46th National River Road Show. Over 400 entries were submitted by 134 artists from 16 states. We thank you for being part of this exhibition which highlights the diverse and unique talents of artists across the U.S.
The exhibition is open from Friday, December 4 through Tuesday, December 29 at the Louisiana State Archives Building, 3851 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge. The State Archives building is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays.
There will be a Reception and Awards presentation with refreshments provided on Thursday, December 10 at the Archives from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
